I kinda sorta mixed up my Batman and DC mystery boxes. So while filming this I had to put issues back that weren’t from the Batman world and pull again. What shoulda been a thirty second video ended up being 5 minutes that needed to be edited way down. In the end it worked out and I was able to create a new Reel and TikTok(rip soon?)
Below are the issues in this weeks What’s it Worth?
(Reminder, this mystery box was picked up for $45 for 50 comics, so roughly .90 per issue.)
Underworld Unleashed: Batman - Devil’s Asylum #1
Underworld Unleashed: Batman - Devil’s Asylum #1 / eBay $6.54 sold
Cover Date 1995
features an appearance of my favorite femme fatale, Poison Ivy.
Since this is an older issue, I might re-bag this one and take a more in depth look at the artwork.
Love this cover of Batman and Robin issue #11
Batman and Robin #11 / Comic Geeks $3 value
Cover Date 2012
fight between Robin and Red Hood
Batfreaks ravage the city of Gotham
Cameo from Joker
Always love a duo cover shot, this is Batman and Robin issue #17
Batman and Robin #17 / eBay $9.60 sold
Cover Date April 2013
Batman and Robin have to protect Gotham as they get ready for the 300th anniversary of the city’s founding
There are a lot of cameos in this issue via dream illusions
This interpretation of Batman’s mask is very interesting, not sure how I feel about it.
Detective Comics #667 / Comic Geeks $3 value $47 graded est value
Cover Date October 1993
New era of the Dark Knight, Knightquest
Reviews are mixed
I always pictured Nightwing younger, interesting to see how “old” he looks on this cover
Nightwing #68 / eBay $3 sold
Cover Date January 1999
Nightwing is hunting down mysterious killer Torque
Huntress cozies up to Torque
This is also the first appearance of Torque (Dudley Soames)
I didn’t realize this cover was two parts until I took it out of its bag
Suicide Squad Death of the Family #14 / eBay $10.50 sold
Cover Date January 2013
Death of the Family “tie-in issue”
Harley Quinn’s past comes back to haunt her
Amanda Waller discovers Squad’s traitor
That last one was definitely from the DC mystery box but I kept it in there because of the cover. Joker’s face looks so freakin’ sinister and scary in it. Overall not a bad result from the value of some of these. All of this information will come in handy as I expand into selling more comics on the Coffee & Comics online store. At the moment I’m going to be adding some here and there. To start it will be a Batman issue, but which one? Thanks for tagging along, stay tuned for another mystery pull and What’s it worth?!
